Eli stood at the front of the classroom, holding his phone up so everyone could see the screen.
"This is GuardianAI," he said. "Some of you already have it. By next week, everyone in this school will."
Nobody looked bored. Nobody looked confused. Most of them were already nodding, because most of them remembered exactly why the school had decided to bring it in.
Last spring, a girl two grades above them had been torn apart online. Someone had taken a photo of her at the worst possible angle, added cruel words to it, and sent it everywhere. It spread through three grades in one afternoon. By the time a teacher finally saw it, half the school had already laughed at it.
Nobody wanted that to happen again. Eli did not want that to happen again.
